Crafton Hills College's Respiratory Care Program Captures Third Place in National Contest

Crafton Hills College’s respiratory care program continues to distinguish itself as a premier training program, among the nation’s best, by placing third in the Sputum Bowl, which, despite its humorously unglamorous name, is the time-honored competition among teams from respiratory therapy educational programs that have won their state’s Sputum Bowl contests to earn the right to compete on the national level. This event was held Nov. 5-8 in Nashville, TN, at the annual convention of the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC).

City of Redlands donates fire engine to Crafton Hills College

The City of Redlands recently donated a firetruck to Crafton Hills College’s (CHC) Fire Academy, an asset that will support its firefighter training program. The Redlands City Council unanimously approved the donation and transfer of the fully equipped 2002 Seagrave firetruck to the college.

At an event on Nov. 1, organized by English professors Andrew Guevara, Ashley Hayes, and Isidro Zepeda, students assembled a vibrant and colorful ofrenda, or altar. The ofrenda was adorned with marigolds, candles, and personal mementos and photograph.
